Gear I Use

I just wanted to quickly outline what I use to achieve the images posted in this course (and on my Instagram!). I always find it inspiring to know exactly what lens or camera someone uses. So I am hoping that this will inspire you. You do not need the gear listed to achieve beautiful images. The lens and camera you choose to use helps aid to your own personal style. I love the gear I have, if I never bought another lens, I'd be happy (but I'm still probably going to buy more because...it's fun and addicting!). But I just wanted to say that the gear I have gives me the images I crave and want to take!

CAMERA BODY

I use the Nikon D610 and I love it. There are a few aspects that I could see why I might need to upgrade in the future, but for now, it works for me and what I want. I love the full frame part of it. I love how easy it is to change all of the settings. It's a good little camera that I would recommend to anyone. On the next lesson I will tell you which camera body I recommend for beginners.

LENSES

My go to lens is the Sigma 24mm 1.4 ART and I absolutely love this lens. It is the lens that I photograph ALL of my indoor photos with. It is so sharp. I can get wide, but I can also get nice and close and capture detail if I want. I. Love. This. Lens. It really helps me achieve the type of images I want. I love how wide it is. It's perfect for indoor photography!

I also love to use my Sigma 85mm 1.4 ART for outdoor photography. It is way too zoomed up for indoor photography. But for my outside use, I love this lens. It creates some beautiful bokeh and also blurred backgrounds. I love how sharp it is, as well. It's a great lens to use outdoors!

And believe it or not, that is all the gear I really have. I also have a tripod similar to this one, but that's it! You don't need a lot of gear to take images that you will love!
